Happy Tuesday, My Lovelies! I hope y'all had a lovely Spring Break and a Blessed and Happy Easter!
Today I'm sharing with you a super easy spring craft from one of my favorite crafters, Christiane Bellstedt Myers. The source is her book, Seasonal Scandi Crafts.
Seasonal Scandi Crafts is organized according to season, and the book begins with Spring. While looking through the Spring Chapter, I noticed a cute and easy craft involving buttons.
All that's needed for the craft:
buttons, old bottles, water, and fresh flowers.
That's it!
I saw this craft, and I thought it was so simple and cute! I decided to recreate it in the art studio. Sometimes I get bored with things, so I enjoy changing the decor in the room especially on my work table. I had a bunch of blue buttons (for a craft I never got around to doing), so I used them. I don't have any old bottles, but I do have a pair of vase bookends. I placed the buttons in the bookends, filled with water, and added white tulips.
So simple and cute.
I added a few of my favorite blue books to match.
I also wanted to add something to the over the table bar. I found a few clouds to cut out from Daphne's Diary Magazine. I used blue twine to hang them, and I also added blue crinkled seam binding ribbon to represent rain.
I would love to find a few old bottles or Mason jars, neutral or vintage buttons, and a fabric curiosity to more closely create the vignette in the book. Maybe next time!
What do you think? Would you try this craft?
Until next time...
Blessings!
