Hanging acorns in the art studio
Happy Monday, My Lovelies! Halloween is only two weeks away. EEK! Do you usually get a lot of Trick or Treaters in your neighborhood and at your home? I need to prepare for all the kiddos. But if I buy the candy too early, I consume way too much of it.
A couple of weeks ago I decorated the art studio a little bit for fall. I decided to use another pennant banner, but in fall colors.
Here's an overall look:
Sorry about the lighting. The studio faces northwest so sometimes the sun is a little strong in the afternoons.
I have a teapot under the tea cozy, and a cute creamer and sugar bowl I bought on sale at Anthropologie. They look cute with my MacKenzie-Childs Myrtle mug and Mini Fran compote.
I made an acorn banner with acorns from Daphne's Diary Magazine and crinkle seam binding. I hung it over the pennants.
Some of the acorns are hanging at each end of the table.
I had to make a little vignette for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the studio to encourage me and our daughters. I hope it encourages you, too!
I didn't do a lot because I will need to take everything down to decorate for Christmas at the end of November, and that will be after my radiation therapy is over (I'm starting radiation today). I am already planning for Christmas!
But for now...
Until next time...
Blessings!

It is lovely.
ReplyDeleteHappy October Days!
Love and Prayers to you, Carla
Hello sweet friend. I Love your art in your studio. The pink velvet pumpkin and happy heart and mug are so sweet. So happy you are a breast cancer survivor and fought it with such Grace. Hoping and praying some day we will not have to have breast cancer in our world. Have a great week. xoxo Kris
ReplyDeleteI love your banner and especially the acorns! We only had 2 kids last year here in our new home, but it was raining and frankly, our yard was a mess and I didn't even know where all the light switches were! Hoping for more this year, and we've been eating candy for two weeks, lol. Week 1 down!
ReplyDeleteThe acorn banner is adorable RJ! And your vignette with the tea cozy looks so cute and the pink velvet pumpkin with the heart ornament is the perfect reminder for the importance of breast cancer awareness month. I am daily praying for you and the next part of your journey...❤️

Just this weekends I pulled those very same acorns from the Daphne Diary I found when I was dumping old magazines! I'm thinking about a banner or possibly using them as place cards or with party favors for either a fall dinner or tea or maybe Thanksgiving! I love how they look and I smiled when the photo popped up!
