Happy Thursday, My Lovelies! Is it cold where you are? We actually have snow in the forecast for tomorrow here across Central Alabama! It's beginning to feel like Christmas, and what I'm sharing with you today looks like winter.
A couple of weeks ago, I was reading tutorials on the Pier 1 site, and I fell in love with the Winter Woodlands Floral Arrangement. I thought it looked so pretty, and I wanted to make it for our dining room table. As you may recall from our breakfast room, our Christmas theme this year is Woodlands Christmas.
Isn't it pretty on the mantel?
I placed the arrangement on a white linen runner I bought at Pottery Barn several years ago.
The birch vases cannot hold water, but they can be flipped over and used as candle pedestals.
I need to buy more pine boughs like in the Pier 1 photo and make them fuller. Maybe this weekend I can swing by there!
We keep our advent wreath on the console table between our kitchen and family room. It's from Terrain, and I also think it works nicely with our Woodlands Christmas theme.
Since we'll be traveling during Christmas break, I wanted to keep things simple this year.
Tell me about your Christmas decor in the comments section. I've seen some beautifully decorated rooms this season, especially kitchens!
Until next time...
Blessings!
Ricki Jill
Ricki Jill... I love your Woodland arrangement so much that I put Pier 1 on my shopping list today. Enjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteVery nice RJ. I love the woodland theme. Will be publishing a blog post today on my holiday decorations. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteYes, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love this!! I am into woodland, you already know that. ;-) Birch has become one of my all time favorites to work with. I used birch and cardinals to create a lovely winter setting in our dinning room.

This is so pretty. I love the Woodland theme. Our holiday decor is a mix of old and new. Old Santas passed down, homemade items from the children and lots of pine boughs.
ReplyDeleteSimple, yes. Beautiful -- oh, definitely yes! A wonderful idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm so fond of the woodland look. It reminds me of the lake. So of COURSE I think those are the best vases/candle holders ever. And divinely simple and elegant!
ReplyDeleteRicki Jill my heart is going pitter patter! I love this arrangement. It's so versatile.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful post. That mantel is just incredible, everything looks snow frosted:)
ReplyDeleteI love this RJ. The woodlands look is so Christmasy to me. The birtch candleholders are gorgeous and so are the flowers. I have the same runner and I've sure enjoyed using it. I need to remember to run by Pier 1. It's not on my usual runs and I forget about it. Traveling some here too so didn't do everything. Thanks for sharing your lovely table.......
