Advent Day Fourteen 2016

Wednesday, December 14, 2016

Sometimes life gets in the way of plans.  Yesterday, our youngest daughter had oral surgery, plus she's sick with a really bad cold.  This morning, I was preparing cookies and getting ready to go to a Christmas luncheon, and the oldest had a severe allergic reaction.  She's now on ranitidine and prednisone.  I can't get her in to see my allergy specialist until Friday morning, so I hope she can get some rest before then.

So in short: no cookies, and no luncheon.

These were the cookies of the day, the ones I was supposed to make:

For those of you who are new or haven't visited this month, I've been baking cookies everyday using this fun Cookie Advent Cookbook:

Hopefully tomorrow the girls will be feeling better and I can get back on track with baking.

John 1:1-5, 14

The Word Became Flesh

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Until next time...

Blessings!
