Sorry about the glare.  The portrait isn't completely dry.

This summer I took a wonderful portrait class with Annabelle DeCamillis.  She's my art teacher's daughter and a college student.  Please click on the link above to visit Annabelle's website.

I can't wait to take Annabelle's class next summer.  I enjoyed it so much I'm starting a series of portraits of literary heroines.

Until next time...

  1. OMG! It's gorgeous and you are such a good student my friend. So lucky to have your DD Shelley in a portrait by you! Amazing !
I'm so glad to hear from you pretty lady.
Keep well and hugs to your daughter.

  2. Wow!! You are so talented. What a special way to preserve Shelley at this age.

  3. This is wonderful!

Taking classes is such fun and good therapy.

I am signed up for a class in 2 weeks. It is just a felting class (a black cat and a pumpkin), but I have always wanted to learn felting. I want to make a mouse.

  4. Ricki Jill, this is an amazing piece. I can't imagine that painting a portrait is an easy thing. Bravo! I'm sure Shelley is thrilled with her portrait. Can't wait to see the others you are working on.

  5. RJ, this is incredible! Your daughter's portrait by her mom. Priceless. She is lovely and you certainly are talented painting faces which I know is hard to do. I'm looking forward to your series of your portraits.

  6. WOW!!! I love it. I totally agree with The French Hutch. What a special gift.
I am excited to see more of your work.

  7. Wow, you did an awesome job.....truly a treasure!

  8. I always enjoy seeing your art - you are an amazing artist!
