Good morning! It's going to be a busy day today with late riding lessons, so we're ordering pizza tonight and relaxing before a big weekend horse show.
We'll enjoy our pizza in the family room, and as a special treat for us, I put together a little vignette inspired by Rachel Ashwell's Couture Prairie. If you haven't read this book, you really should. I enjoyed it so much, and if you have any special occasion coming up it would inspire you, too. You may read my post about it here.

What are you having for dinner tonight? Are you being a lazy bones like me? ;P
Until next time...
Blessings!

Plates and napkins for pizza!!!
Shelley made this horseshoe craft in riding camp many years ago. I keep it in the laundry room because it makes me smile!
Shanley Belle made the autumn leaf bowl in an elementary school art class.
A friend brought me these matches back from a trip to one of Rachel Ashwell's stores.
This is what we'll watch while eating our pizza:

Your vignette is so sweet, Ricki Jill! There is just something so special about pizza & vegging out in front of the TV, but it always has to be a Friday or Saturday night special thing! It's leftovers for us tonight -- afternoon hair appointment!
ReplyDeleteRicki Jill,
ReplyDeleteI love the look of the blueberry crate and the pieces inside. I love Hamish Macreth...I didn't realize anyone else even knew of it. Love the little West Highland Terrier in the series too!
Have fun on pizza night.
Karen
How charming! I love the attention to detail you put into your place settings and home decor. :)
ReplyDelete(and I need to get myself a flower frog...the poor roses in the front yard are being neglected)
I've now got Hamish MacBeth on my library list (never heard of it before now, but I love Robert Carlyle....thanks!)
Love those napkins!!
ReplyDeleteYou just reminded me that I need to take Chicken out of the freezer!
Oh, this all went together so well. I went to a big book sale this morning and I was SO hoping I would find a decorating book...but I didn't. (bought a 'few' other books though! lol) I love the prairie print napkins. I may try to make myself a little set with some pretty fabric I have. You've inspired me! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these napkins! (I am a sucker for cloth napkins.) My niece rides in horse shows--I rode growing up in farm country (on trails), but have never been to a horse show.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you and the family are going to have a wonderful night. We are having chicken and mixed veggies tonight. We plan on watching some tv with The Big Bang Theory, and Greys Anatomy all new.
ReplyDeleteyou always have the most beautiful items
ReplyDeleteIt looks so lovely, Ricki Jill. The whole post is beautiful. I have chili on the simmer. It is just cool enough here to enjoy it! LOVE those napkins!!!!! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteBeautiful display, RJ! I love the crate & the napkins. We had a simple dinner tonight...steak sandwiches & home made French fries.
ReplyDeleteYou have taken pizza to a whole new level with your chic setting!
ReplyDeleteSweet sweet napkins! And your evening reminds me of the years our kids were still home, before Friday night became date night, and Fridays were pizza and a movie. I miss those days, I miss those kids. Enjoy yours!
ReplyDeleteTonight was leftover black bean soup for us!
So lovely. We just slap that pizza on a plate, but I love the care you have taken in setting up the dinner (even if you don't make the pizza) - your family will feel the love.
ReplyDeleteIt's all so pretty!
