I've been painting a lot this week and enjoying the sunshine the past couple of days.  But it's almost time to batten down the hatches before the storms hit!

I recently purchased this adorable Flora Doora from Jane.  Her name is On The Dot, and I think she's the perfect container for my neighbor's peonies. Peonies and Flora Dooras are two of my favorite things.  Did you know these little bags are lined in plastic and can hold water!  :D

Now I'm off to get my containers planted before the storms and rain come. Yep, it's true!  Finally we'll have some pretty flowers to enjoy unless they get crushed by hailstones.

Please come back tomorrow for Literary Friday in the morning and Friday Confessional in the afternoon!

Until next time...

Ricki Jill

  1. I have heard of Flora Dora girls, but never seen a Flora Dora for flowers - too cute.

It shouldn't be stormy weather now. I am indoors because it is cloudy and cold today.

  2. That is a super way to display the beautiful peonies.

  3. I have a polka dotted Flora Doora! Love yours with the peonies. I'll hang mine tonight. I forgot about it :-(

  4. O my gosh that is so cool that they hold water!!
    I never knew that.
    It is a beautiful piece.

  5. Adorable!! I keep looking at the floora doora's. I need to order one or two.

  6. Your flowers are beautiful! And I love Flora Dooras! I have a polka dot one, too and it had driftwood in it right now. I need to get some flowers! Enjoy your afternoon my friend!

  7. That's a pretty Flora Doora! I love peonies and have some on my kitchen island right now. The smell is heavenly!

  8. She has never looked better! You are so sweet to feature Flora Doora on your blog! I am definitely honored and thrilled! So glad you are enjoying her!

  9. I've never heard of Flora Dooras. They are adorable. I learned something new. Love your pictures. Hope all is well with the storms. We had some last night and I forgot my deck umbrella was open and I found it lying face down next to the table. I was surprised a window didn't break or something.

  10. I have never heard of a flora doora! Without the pics I might have thought you were making things up! Adorable!

  11. What an adorable bag to hold the flowers inside. Good luck with the planter. Stay safe tonight.

  12. This is such a great idea, I love flowers hanging. The Peonies look perfect in the gray. I will have to check out her site. Thanks for sharing, Stay safe. Kathy

  13. Oh, so pretty! Hope you don't have hail. '-)

  14. Those peonies are breathtaking. Nothing like that grows here.

  15. I love that bag. Jane is such a wonderful person and I really LOVE her sweet bags. They are unique and fun. Your DOT is gorgeous-xo Diana

  16. I love the peonies!

Hope you don't get hit by too much hail

  17. DARLING bag Ricki and peonies are my favorite flower. I always say they are flower that just keeps on giving :) as they continue to get bigger and bigger and even look pretty as the petals begin to fall.

I'm a little MIA .. it's been crazy and I'm hosting a party for my daughters graduations with 45 of our closest friends (haha) tonight!

I'll be back next week. Have a great weekend.

  18. Yay for finally getting the flowers planted! ;)
I love this decor idea (and much better than a vase on a table, which I would probably break). I need more iron scrollwork hooks on the walls. :D

  19. I wish I had some peony blooms. I adore them. My plants are very new so maybe next year!

  20. I've never heard of Flora Dooras but now I have............

  21. What a beautiful idea. I wonder if my cats would be able to get at flowers hanging on a wall? I might have to see. Those peonies look so beautiful.
I hope the storms weren't too bad!

  22. This is sooooo cute! I love it! :)
