Pink Out!

Saturday, October 27, 2012

My daughter had a Pink Out pep rally at her school yesterday.  Everyone was encouraged to wear pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

After school, Shelley had some friends over for a sleepover, so I put together a little Pink Out treat for them: tea and sugar cookies.

I used Ann's recipe @ On Sutton Place.  You can see her sugar cookie recipe here.

The green carnations compliment the toile napkins.

Toile place mats and napkins:  Waverly from The Home Depot
Tea set, plates, and mugs:  MacKenzie-Childs
Sheer pink napkins:  English Ivy
Napkin rings:  Pier 1
Crystal vase:  Horse Show First Place Trophy

Until next time...

Ricki Jill

  1. Hi RJ! What a great mommy you are. The sugar cookies look so good and I'm sure the girls enjoyed the sweet tea party and pink of course.
Hope you're having a great weekend and I've got my socks on now! :)
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia :)

  3. Hi Ricki! Thank you for linking up in my Beautiful Sunday series. I really appreciate it. I'm also one with the female community in fighting against breast cancer. In my country, breast cancer is said to be the leading cancer that causes death among females. In due time, I hope a medicine will finally be discovered to fight the Big C. Your MacKenzie-Childs collection never fail to mesmerize me. I love every piece you own! And those cookies, they tempt me so much. Haha Wishing you a great week ahead!

  4. What a great idea - a fun party with a serious message. Win, win. Your china is perfect for a pink party - the table looks so pretty.

  11. What a pretty pink tea party! How come none of my friends had mothers who did this when I was young? :D I love those toile placemats & I know how yummy those cookies are from Ann...I tried them a couple of weeks ago myself.
