Glamorous Dining Rooms

Friday, November 11, 2011

I have not been home much the past couple of weeks, and I have not decorated for Thanksgiving yet.  Some of my neighbors have already decorated for Christmas!  In between meetings I have been looking at some glamorous dining rooms, wondering how they would look decorated for Thanksgiving.  I would love to see these dining rooms during the holidays.

This is Cynthia Rowley's dining room, and I love the patterns, colors, and satiny sheen.

Betsey Johnson's dining room combines traditional and modern elements. The color combination is fun, too!  NOTE:  Cynthia's table looks very similar to Betsey's!

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne's dining room is my favorite.  I think it is stunning!

Gwyneth Paltrow's dining room is designed for lingering over a meal.  I could spend hours in this soothing room!

I cannot wait to decorate our dining room and kitchen for Thanksgiving. Perhaps I will have the time next week.

Do you decorate for Thanksgiving?  How?  Are your decorations up yet?  I am prepared to be stressed out when I read your comments, LOL!

Until next time...

Blessings!

  1. I always had BIG Thanksgiving dinners when my kids were growing up...but not any more! I still like to cook a traditional meal just for hubby and me but I don't decorate much! Can't wait to see what you do this year! Hugs! ♥

  3. Nope on the decorating. I like to make place cards and arrange a few things, but I don't really like a lot of Thanksgiving decorations (turkeys and leaves?).

  5. Fabulous for magazines, I would get tired of some eventually. I agree, my fav is Ozzy and Sharon's, great and lovely. I love fall and Thanksgiving, so I have my table posted and now I'm starting to decorate for Christmas, not much time left as after Christmas I've had it with the decor and want to go back to normal! Thanks for sharing. FABBY

    Beautiful dining rooms! Sharon & Ozzy have my favorite, but Betsey's is pretty awesome too.

  9. I don't, we did when the children were small, it was mostly the construction paper chains and turkeys they made at school.I always have a fall flowers in a vase onthe table but no special decorations, not, of course that won't likely surprise any of my blogging frineds, i'm not much of a Martha Stewart in the decorating department, I like things simple, a big bowl of Fall apples or pinecones, or nuts,, thats it.I like Paltrow's dining room,, thats beautiful,, but I would likely have the more siomple one, I love to look at the glam but I preferr to live with the simplistic clean lines,

  10. Too funny that you are prepared to be stressed out. Well at least I'm not in the running as we already had our Thanksgiving. In fact, I'm sort of rushing the pumpkins out the door as I'm done with them. I"m ready to decorate for Christmas, but don't want to push the season.

  11. I generally let my fall decorations flow into Thanksgiving and keep it sort of rustic looking. At least that's how I think the Pilgrims would have wanted it!!

    Love the Osbourne's dining room, Sharon has a lot of class {other than the swearing!!}

    Jane
