I put away our Halloween decorations, and although I did leave out a few pumpkins, the house seemed a little bare. So I decided to put together a quick tablescape in our dining room. I used a runner from Hobby Lobby, a set of three glass vases, French wired ribbon, leaves, and maple leaf taper holders and tapers from Williams-Sonoma.
I think the runner would be more fun for Halloween, but I forgot I had it ;P
I have been working on my painting a lot this week, and I hope to start a furniture project soon. What projects are you tackling this week?

How pretty the table looks, the bronze coloured runner is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of tying the three vases together to create a centrepiece, very clever.
I love the elegance of it and the leaves of course. I have to have fake ones here as we don't get many real leaves with that gorgeous fall color. I am going to try and finish a bookshelf I have been painting for the kitchen. I think it needs a 3rd coat as I was going from green to white.
ReplyDeleteSimple and effective ! I love it !

I love the pumpkins!
Good Morning RJ Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteOh how beautiful your table looks all ready for Thanksgiving. I love the table runner, and the user of the vases with the fall leaves inside and tied with that ribbon? Just so elegant. I love the way you left the ribbon long and let it extend the table as well. So pretty and different. I love that most of all.
Your tapers are the icing on the cake. Don't they look pretty framing the center? Beautiful job RJ. Just beautiful. Stand up and take a bow, as I am clapping and clapping.
Many hugs and so much love, Sherry
Love the idea of the three different size vases tied with a beautiful ribbon...Oooh and love your runner too. The orange looks so pretty in your creme and white dining room. Nice pop of color.

I'd comment on the centerpiece, but am too distracted by those fabulous chairs! Thanks for the reminder to go get my Thanksgiving decor out!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I love the leaves!! Our trees are still turning here, but the rain last week has knocked a lot of leaves off. Fall never lasts long enough!!!!
ReplyDeleteThese autumn decorations look so beautiful. You did a great job. Thanks for participating in the Thursday Favourite Things Blog Hop.

ReplyDeleteVery pretty! The runner gives it all a nice pop of Fall color.
ReplyDeleteOhh, I have those three glass vases. I usually use floating candles and cranberries and evergreen pieces at Christmas. I have leaves and ribbon, so perhaps I will copy your autumn decoration!
ReplyDeleteLove your table. The runner is perfect. Can't wait to see your painting.... No projects, just working! it's that time of the year, RETAIL!!
ReplyDeleteI can't take my eyes off from your chairs- I'm thinking about tackling a project similar to them. Pretty centerpiece :) Happy painting!

I think this looks very lovely, & the tablerunner is beautiful -- totally works for a Fall look. Are those portraits of your daughters on the wall behind your table, & did you do those? Inquiring minds need to know.....lol!
