I do not like to decorate for fall, usually. I am not that into Halloween, and I am weird about bringing dead things into my home (I know this sounds superstitious, but I can't help it). I think dead things in your home is bad juju. I do not like fake plants/flowers, either. So I usually decorate with fresh flowers and pumpkins, just enough to get by until it's time to decorate for Christmas.
I have found some fun ideas on the internet, and I have enjoyed looking at all of your fall decorations. I thought I would share some ideas I will probably "borrow" for our house.
The following inspiring photos are from Better Homes and Gardens' website.
I found these at Country Living Magazine's website:
This one is my very favorite table scape from Southern Lady Magazine:
Most of these images conveniently arrived in my inbox because I subscribe to the magazines' newsletters. Where are you finding your autumn inspiration?
Until next time...
Blessings!

I love the greens and whites with this arrangement, with just a hint of reddish orange from the berries.
I really like this light on white color scheme, too.
I love salvaged wood, so this is something I would love to try.
Florist foam, mums, and stems make fun pumpkins.
Every room needs a little black, so I like the light pumpkins on the black candlesticks.
I found these at Country Living Magazine's website:
I love the tabletop terrarium with the pincushion plants. I might try something similar with things I already have.
I like the simplicity of the plain cloche and pumpkin arrangement. But I probably won't do this as I am cloche challenged. ;P

ReplyDeleteI don't like Halloween either but I do love Fall. I love the colors and the warmth it brings to the home. Nice pictures.
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas ! I am not ready to say good buy to the warm summer days yet , so I guess I am still in denial that fall is already here; however, when I start decorating for the new season I probably would " borrow" for our house these light colored pumpkins on white candlesticks from the second image , so delicate...Thank you ,Ricki ! Have a colorful season!
ReplyDeleteLove love love those white bumpy pumpkins! I has a very similar post coming up with the mumkins... aren't those gorgeous! I only wish I was that creative!
ReplyDeleteLovely post!

I love your fall inspiration finds. I don't like creepy Halloween decorations either. Only happy faces on carved pumpkins at my house. Here's what I love about the season ~ beautiful leaves, hot spiced apple cider and wearing cozy sweaters. Ghouls and witches can keep their distance!

I love them all. It would be hard to choose. You choose my two favorite magazines. Southern Lady first for me, then Better Homes and Gardens! Good luck in which ever you choose, it will be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love white pumpkins. We haven't been to a pumpkin patch yet, but when we do...white ones will come home with me! The second photo is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteOh what beautiful inspirations! I love fall and I've posted a fall buffet, already started, hope you visit. I love the orange and warm earth colors for autumn, got great ideas! Thank you for sharing! Hugs, FABBY
ReplyDeleteNo no bad ju ju for you you! I love fall decor and all the dead stuff but with age am finding I change things out for a new season less and less... so much work when I could be blogging instead. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh I saw those mum pumpkins but I adore it all.
ReplyDeleteI usually don't add any Autumn decor until October. I don't like halloween and I add only a couple of little touches for our grandchildren to enjoy. I do decorate in November for what seems to be the forgotten holiday Thanksgiving. I always have some pretty things out for the month of November. You found some pretty inspirations. Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteHi Ricki! We don't have autumn here in the Philippines. But usually the weather cools down during the BER months. Halloween is not a real big deal of an event in the Philippines. Halloween is usually for the kid's trick or treat. And I don't like spooky and freaky decors too. hahaha
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny!! Bad juju! I don't know who you have been hanging out with (LOL), but I love halloween, and don't even use one dead thing!! Nope!!
ReplyDeleteWhat you said about how you decorate sounds awesome! I bet it looks fantastic!!
I have a fake pumpkin I got from the craft store that I decorated with fall leaves, flowers and pretty beads. I can't wait to show it off!! I bought a white one too. I'm planning on doing the same thing to it.

OH! and did you make your header? as in the art? It looks amazing! You are too talented!!

Love this post. Love your new header. Totally agree about dead things in your house! The pumpkins under the cloches is my favorite. I've been on the look out for those white pumpkins (real ones) but so far no luck. Have a wonderful rest of the day!
ReplyDeleteI am not into Halloween either even though my son begs me to decorate for it!
ReplyDeleteI love the word "juju" you are too funny!!!
Love your new banner painting!

I just love your header- if you've had it for a while and I am just noticing, I am blaming it on Old Timers and a complete lack of focus. Pretty. I don't like dead things around either. We love Halloween though - for the fun, not the symbolism.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing some inpiration. I could look at fall decor all day long, I love it so much!
ReplyDeleteSome pretty ideas in those pics. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI am in total agreement. I try to pretend that Hallowe'en never happened and of course we live up a very long hill with no street lights so every year we get the odd teenager looking for a thrill...but that is about it!
ReplyDeleteI second the fresh decor in the autumn!
Thank you for all the fall inspiration! I am not into decorating for Holloween either but love all the bounty of the fall harvest. That is why I love fall some much--harvest!

Great post!
Love the new header BTW!
ReplyDeleteWow, these images are stunning! I can't believe I haven't seen some of them already. Thanks so much for sharing them-I'm going to have to go and do some pinning I think!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Natasha.
