I adore Mosaicwares. The company manufactures "la picassiette" one of a kind home furnishings. La picassiette is a French phrase meaning "stolen from the plate." It is an art form where artists use broken bits of china, glass, figurines, and other materials and cement them onto objects to form different surfaces.
I have a little bit of this art form in my dining room. This piece is called The Breakfast Nook. I sometimes use it in the very center of a buffet for either appetizers or desserts.
This is a candlestick.
These frames are fun, especially the heart-shaped one.
This butler's tray is a versatile piece.
I currently have it set-up as a bar for my husband. He only drinks wine, and I wish I could think of a use for the cut crystal decanters that were given to us as a wedding present.
I put all of his wine accessories, including his Laguiole wine opener, in a small berry bowl. Laguiole makes the best knives and wine openers in the world!
You can visit Mosaicwares website here.
Have you ever made any La Picassiette crafts? I have made a mirror and a birdhouse. The mirror is at our lake cabin. I will share that with you at a later date!
Linking to Courtney's Feathered Nest Friday, and Pink Saturday.
Until next time...
Blessings!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I saw a lot of this style of artwork when we lived in Mexico.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful. I have a patio set done in this that my husband gave me one year. Now you are talented. You should be able to do this. If I tried it would not look anything like it should but I bet you could do it. I love the three tiered shelf. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAll of your mosaics are so pretty! I have never made any myself. As a matter of fact, I don't think I even own any mosaic pieces. Hmmm...I might have to remedy that soon.
ReplyDeleteRicki these are beautiful works of art!! I love the three tiered cart!! Would love to try my hand at this!

I only wish I had made some La Picassiette crafts. I was very intimidated by the process after reading "how to's". Please share yours with us soon. ;)

ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful mosaics.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday Ricki Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful share today. I love the mosaics. How gorgeous that shelf is. I bet it looks beautiful all set up with food for serving. I love the rose pieces in each shelf. How absolutely breathtaking it is.
The candlestick, and the beautiful frames. Each piece such a work of art. It makes your home so gorgeous. I love that tray as well that you have set up as a bar for DH. It is gorgeous.
You talked about the beautiful glass decanters that you shared. Just a thought. I would fill them up with assorted colored candies (layers perhaps,or just colors) to make them pop on this gorgeous mosaic piece that you have. Just an idea sweetie. Even if you made a beautiful mosaic tag for each one, a hang tag would be beautiful as well. Some decanters have hang tags, so you dress them up a little in that way as well.
I am Country Wings in Phoenix, your newest follower. I can't wait to see what you share next. A beautiful blog home. I would love to have you stop over and say hi. I love meeting new friends and sharing our day to day lives. I would be tickled pink if you signed up to follow as well.
Country hugs sweetie...Sherry
