I am going completely stir crazy. Seriously. There are so many projects and things I want (and need) to do, yet I am still limited to what I can do. My doctor is going to get even madder at me if I don't take it easy.
But I still need to do something, so I found some inspiration at Tracy Porter's blog. So it's all Tracy's fault. I love reading her posts and watching her videos. They are super-fun! The video that inspired me is the one about trays. You can watch it here.
I decided to use the old Mexican silver tray for my Beverage Station. (Doesn't Beverage Station sound all fancy-smancy!?!?) My husband pulled through for Christmas and purchased the Breville Electronic Milk frother (from my Christmas wish list), and I decided to have a designated spot for it, my coffee presses, coffee sugars, and hot chocolate toppers.
The neat thing is that the Beverage Station is out of my kitchen's work triangle. It is way back in the corner and out of the way. Observe:
I also set up my tea and breakfast area by my Beverage Station. The mugs and plates are handy for a quick breakfast or snack.
Oops! I almost forgot the sweeteners!
Another tray that I thought would be very useful is a tray with kitchen utensils, spices, oils, vinegars, etc., right by my stove.
That's about all the fun I can handle in one day, although I might paint later.
I am joining Cielo for Show Off Your Cottage Monday.
Until next time...
Blessings!

Hi,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your suggestion about posting pictures side-by-side of my room with the room from Victoria when I have finished...of course at the rate I am getting it done that might take a while.(-: I like the use of trays in your kitchen...I don't have a tray, but I use an old wooden lazy susan that my Father made when I was a child to hold containers for my utencils and I love it. Have a great day!
Hi Ricki, I love it! Lately I've had company every Sunday morning for coffee and a bite. I usually have quick things like mini muffins, small danish, or doughnut holes etc. I set up a "coffee bar" basically, and use my white coffee carafe, with a pretty creamer, sugar, wooden stirs, sweeteners etc. I think it comes in handy to do this as you've done too, guests like to fix up their own coffee I've found. And can help themselves to a treat, we've had a great time. Your kitchen is just gorgeous. Right up my alley. xoxo tami
ReplyDeleteGREAT idea!!! I have to get all the fixin's out of the pantry each time, which is every morning. Something to consider!
