It's such a dark room and the yellow is such a cheery way to begin the day. Plus, if she tires of of the yellow, it would be easier to change out the bookcases, accessories than go the whole bit. You could go from yellow to teal to pink or green with a quick paintbrush and pillows instead of the whole darned wall treatment! The Modern Highlighter offers a fun flexibility and offers a youthful but not childlike feel. That yellow isn't a color I would ever pick but I've seen how skilled you are at decorating and would love to see it.Staceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05728612514516285320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2820471780736941349.post-56715852586514720452018-03-07T16:38:12.989-06:002018-03-07T16:38:12.989-06:00I love both ideas. The yellow seems so much more modern but it will definitely brighten up your dark room. However, the white room will be quite easy to change by adding pops of color around when the mood strikes. It is stressful, so I am thinking that she would love to come home to a relaxing bedroom. Good luck! I love the book too! We are in the process of redoing our daughter's, who is going for her doctorate, room also. Eventually, when we have grandchildren, I plan to make her room the nursery. So we painted it white for now. Redecorating is so much fun!
TerryTerryhttps://sharingdivineinspiration.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2820471780736941349.post-32414558807095585872018-03-07T12:05:16.184-06:002018-03-07T12:05:16.184-06:00I was about to say everything Jenna just commented...I was about to say everything Jenna just commented. I love the pink and everything you chose for the room but I'd go with the Modern Highlighter. If you don't like the yellow it will be an easy fix and the all white room you can change with bed linens and pillows for a splash of color when you're in the mood to change. The book is right up your ally with pages for your own space planning. Can't wait to see what you decide. Are the floors wood? I think the second might look more open and happy and the first more cozy comfort. I prefer the first lamp for both designs. I love Charles P. Rogers beds and hers is so pretty! I think mine in my bedroom is. I bought it so long ago from Rob and Stucky's (should of been stuck up). Any way they are long gone, and I did all the work to find it going through the binders, because I was not spending 20 grand. LOL So I sat there with my two year old for hours turning pages, because their website said that I could buy it there and the woman was of no help. Such a trigger. LOL That's before we had to deal with the middleman! xoxo SuButterfly 8)(8 Bungalow https://www.blogger.com/profile/12407401010841427366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2820471780736941349.post-18758275700768837072018-03-07T09:00:11.713-06:002018-03-07T09:00:11.713-06:00Wow! What a fun, sunny room it would be. Add green with faux plants and maybe some more color through the floor pillows. Totally calm and breezy room to relax in. It also looks like you are having so much fun, and what an organized and professional presentation of your ideas...as much as I love the soft pink and gray, I vote for the white and bright yellow. If that room is so dark the white will do wonders to light it up and the yellow is total fun. When you get tired of the yellow, you can easily paint over that to change it without having to change the whole room. Good luck, I know it will be a show stopper!
Jennathepaintedapron.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01956666284000629194noreply@blogger.com
