I love it, but didn't really choose it. I have floral watercolors all by my stepmother's aunt, that are all in the same style frames. The pics you've posted are such a radical departure. I don't dislike any of them, but they aren't me.Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01294308714313220666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2820471780736941349.post-58173312449207650802012-04-19T20:11:56.108-05:002012-04-19T20:11:56.108-05:00I am not really a fan of abstract paintings. I would prefer huge paintings in the living room or perhaps in an idle room at home. Paintings can brighten up and make a difference in a blank space. However, I guess too much of it is not so pleasing anymore.Diane Writeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04953342733042235541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2820471780736941349.post-73585542826522384112012-04-19T19:11:26.276-05:002012-04-19T19:11:26.276-05:00I do like art--and all kinds!!I do like art--and all kinds!!nannykimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09904490730187017812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2820471780736941349.post-317500199227915342012-04-19T17:55:21.067-05:002012-04-19T17:55:21.067-05:00Not a fan of abstract art but I love the small gro...Not a fan of abstract art but I love the small groupings. Interestingly enough, the "good stuff" goes in my dining room. I find they are conversation pieces. Some people love this one painting we have that is quite colourful while others find it odd but either way they talk about it and find it interesting. I also have a smaller one that stirs up the same type of discussion. Art is so personal and I don't think you need to worry about what somebody else will think and I certainly think it needs to touch you in some way. I love the fact that I smile almost every time I walk past one particular painting in my dining room!anangloinquebechttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03074337849133414753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2820471780736941349.post-84481074481177259302012-04-19T17:16:21.210-05:002012-04-19T17:16:21.210-05:00Not at all, art can be a real source of conversati...Not at all, art can be a real source of conversation. We had a large mirror in the dining room - it fell and I am repairing it. On the other walls, I have a painting my mom gave me - a victorian scene, I have plates flanking the window, a tapestry on another and the LORD's Supper on the other - art adds to the overall look to the room,
Great Post, Ricki Jill,
KathyKathy A Delightsome Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00310044533488593888noreply@blogger.com
