Do You Have Napoleon Dynamite Mad {Photography} Skills?

I do not.  Mr. Art @ Home replaced my little Panasonic Lumix camera with a Nikon that cost more. Obviously I lack the skills, and am not deserving of such a nice camera.  So Mr. Art @ Home took the Nikon back to the store, replaced it with another Panasonic Lumix, and I can tell a difference in my photos.  Plus Mr. Art @ Home got some cash back :D  Thanks for your input, ladies.

I do not have many mad skills at all.  But I did practice one of my skills today: I ironed linens and organized my linen armoire where I keep all tablecloths, place mats, and table runners.

I know y'all will ask.  The magazines are all back issues of Country Living (UK Edition).  It is my favorite magazine, and I like to save them.  I only have three little magazine baskets where I save back issues of other magazines.

What did you do today?  Do you have any mad skills?  ;P

  1. Your linen armoire is wonderful! It's so pretty & looks like it holds some very lovely linens too.

I really have no mad skills & I was not very productive today. We're enjoying our last days before back to school so we spent the day wandering the quaint village of Cooperstown, NY.

  2. OMG! I love that segment from "Napoleon Dynamite"! We use variations of the "skills" quote all the time in our family. Is the UK edition of "Country Living" completely different from the US version (like, different photos, etc.) You look so very organized! I want to be like you when I grow up!

  3. Huge Nap. Dynamite fan here. One of my favorite movies I am sad to say. Just makes me laugh that much. I do not iron if I can help it. Love wash and wear and things that don't require my iron. However I love the smell of ironing. It takes me back to my mom's kitchen where she had a day of the week for ironing.

  4. I am definitely allergic to the "iron", I do not iron anything, unless it is absolutely necessary! I press when sewing and that is it. I do love the smell of the iron, but!!! Love your linen stowaway!! Beautiful!

  5. Oh my I love your armore and how organized it is. At least now you have a functioning camera that you like. Cheers

  6. I love your pretty linens and nice storage! I worked on some computer scrapbooking today...and went to ZUMBA tonight! It was a wonderful day! ♥ I'm glad you have a camera again! ♥

  7. Omg Love This post!
    you are so funny
I do not have mad photo skills, I fake it, alot!
It is all by chance since my camera was upgraded.
I really miss my old cheapy one. sigh :(
I shopped, it is my mad skill.
I can shop, I shopped for Halloween and I stumbled upon my new fave dress from Anthro...Splurged and it came home with me.
I will now be learning the skill of staying home for a month to pay it off. LOL

  8. My main goal of the day was to find time to read some blogs! That and a little laundry and normal house stuff filled the day. I have a couple of closets that I want to empty and reorganize, but I just can't quite make myself start the project!!

  9. I have a nikon and hate it. Takes great outside shots, but not good inside.

I love to iron linens, but I have just a few right now, but plan on getting more. Just something about ironing them relaxes me.

  10. Tutto cosi carino,simpatica Ricki!Baci,Rosetta

  11. I used to save Country Living Magazines when I lived in the UK, but I no longer subscribe to or read any magazines.
As for cameras, what a coincidence! I have a Panosonic Lumix DMC- TZ65 which is always in my handbag. I love it. For my birthday my husband got me a Nikon Coolpix 500 which is brilliant, I am slowly learning to use it. I am enjoying having the adaptability between the two.

  12. Well, ironing and organizing is not one of my mad skills. lol I need to work on that. I think redesigning would be my gift. BTW, I probably have well over a thousand decor magazines, and they need to be organized.

  13. I have a Nikon and I love, love it! (I've had it for about 9 months and have yet to read the manual or watch the DVD that came with it). But, I'm happy that you found a good one that works for you!

Love that segment and love your special skills with that iron. Can you come over?

Thank you for linking to Potpourri Friday and helping to make it a success! I appreciate you and hope you will link up again next week! I'll be looking forward to seeing you!

  14. I just love your linen armoire. What a lovely place to store them. I would rather iron my linens than clothes anyday.
