Welcome to our home! We have the tiniest entry. It is so small that there is no room or wall space for any furniture. But we did install some wicked-cool art ;P
If you blink, you will miss our foyer!

This art is by clay artist Ryan Carlson. It is entirely made from clay. We bought the corbel at Southern Accents in Cullman, Alabama.
Beyond the foyer is our keeping room. It is open to our kitchen.
This is a plant stand looking left toward our art studio from the foyer.

ReplyDeleteI love it, it has so many interesting things. And I love that you have an art studio. I have been wanting to have one, even tried to buy a small portable cottage for the yard but our yard is sloping so there is no place to put it. I love your armoire!..Christine

ReplyDeleteHi Ricki Jill,
ReplyDeleteThe foyer may be small but it is perfectly formed! Love the corbel with the books (I think I've seen that before?) and the clay piece above is wonderful.
Loved the first day of your "Open House", I'll be back soon for the rest of the tour.

It is such fun seeing inside our blogging friends homes, yours certainly looks so inviting. :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad I stopped by. I love the idea of a corbel to take the place of furniture. I have a spot where this is the perfect solution. Clever you. :) I pinned your idea so I can remember where it came from and I can visit again.

I love your foyer! It is perfect. I'm seeing so many black doors and I like them. Our foyer gets lots of light and I'm thinking a black door will look fantastic there just like yours.
