It's one of her favorite teen books besides Brave New World. She has read both many times. She's read some short stories by F.Scott Fitzgerald, but those were dystopian in nature. xoxo SuButterfly 8)(8 Bungalowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12407401010841427366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2820471780736941349.post-58709251323462665362015-10-03T11:28:35.335-05:002015-10-03T11:28:35.335-05:00I must say that The Great Gatsby surprised me.I lo...I must say that The Great Gatsby surprised me.

I loved The Kite Runner. Yes, it was violent, but the author was depicting the reality of life. I also love A Thousand Splendid Suns which was difficult to read sometimes because of the harsh realities.Art and Sandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09070124859845536964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2820471780736941349.post-43484024760258839732015-10-02T11:10:51.246-05:002015-10-02T11:10:51.246-05:00I am getting behind on my reading! I just got two new collections of short stories that I hope to dive into this week, plus a couple of whodunits.

I do love your island (previous post), and it does remind me of that biggie in HB this month. I had seen that kitchen on one of the design blogs a few days before the magazine arrived. It is a wonderful kitchen isn't it? I think the article said it was about 30 feet long with the kitchen part in between the dining room and the breakfast nook -- odd designations, since it is really all one room. What I also love is that humongous cabinet behind the island. I would truly love to gut my kitchen and start over!Scribblerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06681743103386838795noreply@blogger.com
