Forty Ways to Write I Love You

Thursday, February 1, 2018

Happy February, My Lovelies!  I've been playing with this really fun book in the studio, and it's getting me into the Valentine's Day spirit:  Forty Ways to Write I Love You by Lana Hughes. If you follow me on Instagram, you will probably see several of my creations inspired by this fun book over the next several days. Hughes uses creative lettering in her book to write "I love you" in forty different languages.

Above is how to write "I love you" in Icelandic.  You notice that the page on the right is left blank with a grid pattern for practice.  I love all the practice pages in the book, and there are also tutorials for some of the special lettering, too.

"I love you" in Norwegian

I couldn't wait to try my hand at it, so I randomly turned to a page, and I landed on the Dutch page.

I had way too much fun with this!

Below is an affiliate link if you'd life to order it from an indie bookstore; click on the book cover.

Until next time...

  5. This one looks like loads of fun, Ricki Jill. A very clever idea. It reminds me of the "I Love You" wall in Paris!
