What I'm Reading Wednesday: Romantic Homes Magazine

Isn't this a beautiful cover?

Happy Wednesday, My Lovelies!  The windy and rainy weather the past couple of days has kept me inside, drawing and reading.  I'm enjoying Romantic Homes Magazine's new look, and this newest issue (October 2017) is the prettiest one I've seen in years.  Sweet Courtney from French Country Cottage is the new editor, and I think it's the perfect fit for her.  There are some stunning houses featured in this issue...truly the entire issue is eye candy!

Check out this feature:

Don't you just love these little crowns?  Of course I do since I'm a Zeta (our sorority's symbol is a crown).  I happened to have an extra crown I used in a Christmas vignette, so I thought I'd put it to use in the art studio, although I love the crowns stacked on books like in photo #3.

The jar contains miscellaneous colored pencils, mostly metallic ones.

Sorry about the darkness of the photos, but it's very overcast here.

If you're not a subscriber to Romantic Homes Magazine, make a trip to the store an buy the October issue.  You'll be so glad you did!

What are you reading this Wednesday?  What's inspiring you?

Until next time...

Happy reading!
Ricki Jill

  1. I love crowns too! I really like the one with stars. I've been wanting to pick one up when I see once used, but I tell myself I have too much! By accident several of mine were packed into my Christmas decor, because I took them off the shelf and put them on the tree last year. My spouse helped me pack and didn't realize. My daughter is always where the piano is, and my spouse is always in his office, so she was the one who missed them. But soon enough they will be out again! I'm going to go to a vintage store today and pick up the Jeanne D' Arc magazine. I forgot to get it last month at a once a month show. xoxo Su

  2. How did I miss the news about Courtney becoming the new editor? Wow, that is exciting!!!!
I adore Courtney and her style. I love the look of crowns too, not that I actually have many. Also don't have one of those cute MacK-C vases like you have next to the crown. Love it's low profile.

  4. I will have to get that issue if only for the article on the crowns! I dubbed myself Queen for my 50th birthday and have been drawn to and collect crowns ever since. I especially like the Mary Engelbreit line of The Queen of Everything products. Your crown is wonderful!

I just finished rereading IT and now I'm reading a book I bought at a library bookstore called The Family Fortune...I only just started but it seems okay.
