My Favorites Products for Self-Care

Sunday, August 6, 2017

Sunday Blessings, Everyone!  I hope y'all are having a peaceful day.  We have both girls home for one last hurrah before classes start for Shanley Belle at LSU.  We're going to church late this morning, and we might catch a movie tonight.  We've all been wanting to see Dunkirk. Have any of y'all seen it yet?

Last week I posted about the millennials' obsession with self-care.  The girls and I have discovered Aveda's line of essential oil products, and I am in love with them.  Below are my favorites, and all photos are from the Aveda website.

This is Shelley's favorite.  It's replacing the Blue Oil, but it's basically the same.  The small one has a metal rolling ball that enhances the cooling affect.  You can keep it in your purse, and the larger one at home.

"Massage this lightweight oil into sore, achy muscles to help reduce tension and deliver cooling refreshment to your skin and senses.
Cooling aromaology with certified organic peppermint, blue camomile and naturally derived menthol refreshes the senses."

Aveda has a wonderful blog on its site, and I enjoyed reading an article about the 7 Ways to Use Cooling Oil.   I highly recommend you read it because it explains the best ways to use the product.

The stress-fix has essence of lavender, but it isn't overpowering.

"Aroma proven to reduce feelings of stress with certified organic lavender, lavandin and clary sage formulated using the science of aromaology and the power of pure essential oils."

Last but not least, this is the one I love most.  It's the best product for summertime stressed hair.  It also helps beat humidity.

This product uses an oil from South America called buriti.

"Aveda's own pure-fume™ aroma with certified organic lavender, bergamot, ginger lily and other pure flower and plant essences."

Well, I love bergamot, and the pure-fume aroma is so lovely.

Honestly, my hair has never felt better!

I have used Aveda products, especially the haircare products, for years.  I highly recommend them as well as the essential oils.

I love Aveda!

I received no compensation for this post.  I enjoy using these products, and because I think they are special I wanted to share them with my AH-dorable readers.

What are your favorite self-care products?  Please share!

Until next time...

Blessings!
Ricki Jill

  5. Thanks for the tips on Aveda. I haven't used it before.
Dunkirk was excellent. We live such blessed lives. So many sacrifices were made and much suffering for our lives as we know them now.
Love your new look and blog name.
