Literary Friday: Summer Reading List

Friday, June 27, 2014

Happy First Friday of Summer!  School's out for summer, and it's time of compile those Summer Reading Lists!  Here's mine:

*currently reading*

These nine are a very good start, and I've left some wiggle room for the books I receive from the Books 'n' Bloggers Swap.

You can keep up with current reads on my sidebar.  I'm reading Written in My Heart's Own Blood, and it's exceeded my expectations so far.

What's on your Summer Reading List?

  2. Hi Ricki, I've got Goldfinch on my night stand. I was worried about the length but I think it will be a quicker read than I initially thought. xxL

  3. I like your choices. Right now I am reading Rhys Bowen's A Royal Pain (set in 1932, fun, heroine who is 34th in line to the throne, solves mysteries). Also A Question of Belief, mystery series set in Venice and At Home in France (memoir) and of course many more.

  4. RJ,
I'm in book 2 of Game of Thrones. I hope to start the 2nd RK Rowling murder mystery...she uses an alias name but I can't remember what it is at the moment.

    Happy reading.

  5. I just downloaded The Goldfinch on my iPad, but we leave on vacation in 3 weeks so I am saving it to read on the plane . . . on the beach . . .

I will check out more of your choices because I think I will have lots of reading time in the 10 days we are gone.

  6. Oooh, I wish I had enough time to read all of those! We are heading to the mountains for some cooler air next week, so I'll have some time to enjoy the luxury of reading! Happy weekend Ricki Jill. Thanks for your visit over at my blog today too.

  7. Some very interesting books. I wonder if the Stardust is like the movie they made a few years ago.Clare Dane was in it.

  10. Great list! The Witch of Portobello is on my list, too. And I loved Stardust (the book and movie are both excellent, though they take different subtexts to the same story). I can't wait to read how you like all of these!

  11. Great list RJ. I hope I can get a little reading in this summer, but most of the reading I do is in the long winter months.
