Everyone's favorite Half Blood Prince has invited you to a dessert tea party. There has never been a more loathed hero in all of literature.  Let's see what Professor Severus Snape has planned for us, shall we?

DISCLOSURE:  When Shanley Belle was in fourth/fifth grade and she'd get mad at me or her little sister, she'd say that we'd have been sorted into Slytherin House.  This was the most horrible insult she could hurl at us!  I teased her and told her that Snape was going to be a hero in the series, and she'd get so mad at me!  I *so* called that one!

  8. The bouquet of flowers so pretty and steals the show. It is the perfect contrast to the dark things around it. Enjoy your day and have fun!

  9. Great job! Love the photos and decorations!

We use to do a Harry Party every September on the first day of school. This year she didn't want one :( But I suspect in a year or two, she will want one again.

  10. Oh my goodness. What a fun post. I was kinda sad that Snape's heroism only came out at the very end. I always had a soft spot for him for some reason.
That pumpkin coffee with ice cream sounds wonderful.

  11. I love it all! The snake wine stopper, the quaich, the lillies.....you're brilliant! We just got the Half Blood Prince DVD from the library (I've read all but the last book, and seen all the movies up to that one), so your timing is also excellent.

And hey, Rowling herself said that Slytherin isn't all villains, it's just the house for the highly ambitious wizards. :)

  12. Oh, how sweet and fun.

Our street had a Halloween party last night. The theme was famous couples. Steve wore a chicken suit. I wanted to go as an egg, but we settled on Colonel Sanders.

  17. I am so glad I am able to enjoy Halloween through blogland. I have been up to my eyeballs with a wedding so Halloween has been put on the back burner.
I love your decoration and esp. the snake cane or what is that? Pumpkin ice cream float, yummy. They say Pumpkin flavor has outsold apple this fall. Go Pumpkins.

  20. What a beautiful party.
I will admit I have not read nor seen the Harry potter books or movies. Or twilight series. I am one of the rare ones I guess.
I will let the music play as I hop to other parties.
