My Happy List

Just one thing on My Happy List this week.  Shelley's horse show was rescheduled for Sunday due to heavy rain on Saturday morning.  It has been the year for canceled lessons/shows due to rain!  We have  probably had as many make-up lessons as regularly scheduled lessons.  So with a library sale and pool party scheduled for this weekend, I am so, so happy that the young ladies were able to ride on Sunday!

Shelley riding Willie

Notice the jacket?  It was in the forties.  In May!  ....in Ala-freakin-bama!!!  :/

Shelley won second place in equitation.

Shelley won first place in huntseat!

Good job, Willie!

Share your happy posts @ My Happy List!  This is a link party!

Until next time...

Blessings!

  1. That's so neat! I remember the days of cancellations and make ups. For us it was baseball. Way to go Shelley!

It was about 50 here in Texas and super windy. Brrr!

  2. Congrats to your daughter! I used to ride growing up:) How wonderful that she's able to do this. Hopefully spring will show up soon and you won't get so much rain:) Enjoy your day.

  3. Good for her. This brings back such great memories for me of all the years when both my children were riding and competing. Oh and the weather, you cannot believe that it has been in the 80's here all weekend and week. I can never relate to F so I had to check it online but it was 28 C here.

  6. Congratulations to Shelley and Willie. What a beautiful pair! I love to see girls riding. I rode some as a child, but haven't as an adult. LIttle girls and big horses ~ magic times!

  10. Good for Shelley - and what good form she is showing in those photos. No wonder she won! Oh, and the horse looks beautiful too.

You had cooler temps than we did this past weekend.

  14. Good job, Shelley! She has such great poise on Willie (that huntseat picture is fantastic! I'd have fallen off!). Very happy news, indeed! We seem to have switched weather, as it's been in the 80s, sunny, and dry for almost two weeks here in Seattle. In May!

  16. Congrats to Shelley & Willie~ a win, place & show! We had 12 inches of rain in three days and cool temps too, a bizarre spring for NC! I'm reading Beth's comment above. I was already thinking this was like the weather when we visited the Pacific Northwest last May :)
