Have a Restful Weekend!

Saturday, September 1, 2012

Hello, my lovelies!  I hope you are enjoying the weekend.  I am nursing a sinus infection, so I plan on reading books, magazines, and blogs while watching college football.

Crimson Tide football kicks off this season at the Cowboy Classic in Dallas. The Crimson Tide will be playing the Michigan Wolverines.  Roll Tide!!!

I brought in some late summer hydrangeas I wanted to share with you.

The coolest thing just happened!  A P-51 Mustang just buzzed our cabin, like three times!  It went from lake level to out of sight in about three seconds flat.  SO COOL!!!  When this little plane was first built as a WWII fighter aircraft, our greatest generation was committed as a nation to crush evil.  Our country was great then, and we can restore our national character and optimism again.  I have total faith that yes, we WILL!

I will see you again on Tuesday!

Until next time...

Blessings!
Ricki Jill

  11. Enjoy your weekend!

I saw an advertisement in the newspaper last weekend that showed Crimson Tide merchandise for sale. I thought it was unusual to see that here in NY. Anyway, I immediately thought of you!

  18. The Hydrangeas is a glorious flower. Do you ever dry it? I wonder if it does well as a pressed flower. I'm sure it must! I do not have a bush in my garden but my sister does. Guess I should raid hers and press some blooms. I sure hope you feel better soon. A sinus infection must be horrible. I am such a wimp with a cold that a sinus problem would really put me down! Get well!

  19. I'm glad your team won...ours did too. Notre Dame beat Navy in Dublin, Ireland. My family got up and watched football at 9 a.m. It was a bit strange but fun all the same. Take care and hope you are feeling better. :o)

  20. A mustang, I immediately thought horse or car LOL! I am so jealous that you can grow hydrangeas, it's to humid here in central Florida, they are so pretty dead or alive!

  22. Hi Ricki! First of all your home never fails to amuse me. I love the wooden table and the fresh hydrangeas around.

I hope you feel better soon. And I don't know if I have to apologize but at any case, I want to inform you that I went ahead of posting my summer journal. Or was the previous link up supposedly the final showcase of the summer journal smash party? My schedule at work has been rattled lately and so does my blog life. :) I hope you're not mad at me.

I'm catching up with your posts. And hopefully, when October comes, my schedule and blog life will be fine again.

    Have a great week!
