Taking a Break.....

.....to move Shanley Belle into her apartment at the University of Alabama.

P1040965

Shanley Belle (3 years old) visiting her grandparents in New Orleans during Carnival.

I have had her home for three solid months, so it is difficult to say goodbye!  *sadface*

I will be back on Tuesday with a rather long Happy List!

Until next time...

Blessings!

  1. I can honestly say I know what this is like. I have two moving out at the same time this summer and it is not easy. New memories ahead is how I am looking at it.

  7. So adorable, this just proves how time flies, right?
I cried like a baby last night watching toy story 3 with my little one. It made me fast forward to when he will be leaving for college, too soon too soon.
    Have a great time!

  8. As I told my mom every time I went back to college in the Fall....this only means it's more special when we next get to spend time together. :)

Best of luck to her with this upcoming semester/quarter, and hopefully all else is going well!

  13. It's so hard to see them grow up...even though that's what we hope for when they are little. Best of luck to both of you on this big new step!

  15. Shanley Belle is as happy as a bell! What a sweet photo. Best of luck to her and you. I remember when we first became empty nesters. Nice, but we sure missed our house full of kids and friends.

  16. Just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you for leaving me a comment on my Cowboy Coffee Cake at Posed Perfection. You asked where the name came from...I wish I could tell you. The recipe was given to me by a sweet lady and I never bothered to ask about the name. I was too busy eating it;-) You are a beautiful artist. Gorgeous pictures! And about the kids...they do grow up too fast. I still have a few years before mine head off to college, but I know it will be a hard transition. I hope you'll come by and visit again. Have a blessed week! ~Nici~Posed Perfection

  17. Poor you. I don't move Kate in until the end of August, but I feel your pain. I hope the move goes well and I'm glad that you had some good times during the summer together.
