We Want to Know Wednesday is a weekly Blog Party hosted by Mamarazzi, Queso, and Crazymama.

This week Crazymama is asking the questions, and she wants to know about your Halloween!

{1} How did you celebrate Halloween? Trick or treating? Adult party? Trunk or treat?

Our neighborhood is like kid heaven, so we passed out candy here at home. Plus our neighborhood is a very safe walking neighborhood for the kids.  We did not participate in Trunk or Treating this year at church because we were not home for it over the weekend.

{2} What candy is your favorite/the first thing you steal from the kids?

{3} What kind of candy do you give out, is it your favorite? or something you know you won't be tempted to eat?

We gave out:

and

Mr. Art @ Home bought them, and Kit Kat bars are his favorite.  The trick or treaters were crazy about the Blow Pops.  I was surprised!  They were a hit!

{4} How soon after Halloween do you take down decorations and put away costumes?

November 1st!  Everything but a few pumpkins were put away.

{5} When do you decorate for the next holiday?

November 1st!  Here is a preview:

This week's questions are fun!  Thanks, Crazymama!

Until next time...

Blessings!

  4. I love Blow Pops!! I have a thing for Tootsie Rolls so I purposely didn't buy them, I get a bag of mixed candy and then avoid it!! Our neighborhood is filled with new young families and it was so much fun to hand out the candy, although I do miss the days of trick or treating with my little ones.

Your fall decorations are pretty, you are really on the ball. I don't decorate for Halloween but for a few things on the porch.

I hope you are having good weather and are enjoying your week!!

    XO,
    Jane

  5. I'm a Snickers thief too! I know from working at school that kids love Blow Pops, so that was a good choice.

  6. Since you asked...
We usually don't get more than one or two children here, so a dear friend asked me to dinner and to help pass out candy to the trick or treaters. She had bowls of chocolate bars. They seemed to go over well. I'm a chocolate snob, so I brought my own French chocolate bar to share with my friend.
I have removed the Halloween elements of my Fall decorations which leaves lots of autumn leaves, pumpkins and squashes, sunflowers, etc. I added a poppy wreath to my front door in honor of Armistice Day on 11/11. I will change it out for a Metallic Fall Leaf one on the 12th. I love Thanksgiving and never, ever rush the seasons. I will observe Advent until Christmas, and Christmas until Epiphany. I love each season's traditions and enjoy each to the fullest.

  8. I am so glad Halloween is gone. It is not exactly my favorite holiday. I do like to see the kids all decked out, though. This year, I went with my daughter and her four kids trick or treating. We had a blast! We gave out kit kat, snickers, tootsie pops, and spider rings. I put them in goodie bags....easier that way. Now on to Thanksgiving. I left only a few autumn things around, but all the halloween is bye bye!

  12. Hey Ricki! I've been offline for a week in the blogosphere. When I checked out your blog, I realized that I missed a lot from your posts.

Halloween is not really a big holiday in the Philippines. The most that we have here are trick or treat for the kids. I love Kit Kat bars and I would surely be happy to knock on your door to have one. hahahaha

I'm looking forward to seeing your Xmas decors and btw this is my first Xmas in the blogosphere with a lot of blog friends. Can't wait for that! Have a great day.

  13. My kids finished eating all of their candy today. I believe our life can resume with a little bit of normalcy.

  14. Love Kit Kat bars, too! We didn't have any trick or treaters, but we never have around here.

Love your autumn decor. Not sure if I'll be putting any up this year, as everything is packed away. Once I unpack, I might just go ahead and put up the Christmas decorations. :0)

  17. We don't get many kids at our door, but I have a fear of running out of treats, so I always buy something I love. Usually that means chocolate and peanut butter!
